What inspired you to pursue this particular startup?
Justin (co-founder) and I personally experienced the problem together for seven years collaborating musically together. Like most musicians, we like to move fast and find that down-time can kill creativity. Collaboration is a sensitive subject, especially when concerning art. People take their self expression seriously, as well they should. Creating an option to CONNECT with other LIKE MINDED artists to complete that expression is an invaluable tool unseen thus far in an unfortunately dying industry.
But subconsciously, I think that growing up and living in Memphis all of our lives forced much of the inspiration. As a passionate fan of music, I realize every time that I travel and visit other cities that we literally have the most talented musicians in the world here and we take this for granted. Any night of the week, you can walk into a random bar and see these musicians free of charge. Questions of why continue to come up the more you realize that these local Memphis musicians are far more talented than 80% of musicians that enjoy monetary success.
