What inspired you to launch this particular startup?
I’m passionate about how you use the digital space to impact social change and I’m also passionate about mentoring. When I saw that there was an opportunity to combine the two by making the process easier and more efficient for the organization and the mentor, and even more fun for the mentor and the mentee, mentor.me was born.

Who is your favorite entrepreneur?
I was really inspired by Sara Blakey’s story and what she does through her brand to support other female entrepreneurs.

Who or what most inspires you?
My mom is my greatest blessing and inspiration.

Favorite quote?
“Because you are here, you are worthy.” – Oprah Winfrey

Favorite book/s?
As a child – I loved My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George. Something about that story helped give me a sense of bravery and adventure as a child. As an adult – Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom is my absolute favorite book. It tells the story of how we’re all a part of a larger purpose and how our stories are all intertwined in some way.

I also like The Rainmaker by John Grisham. He and Mitch Albom are probably my two favorite authors. The Street by Ann Petry is also a great book.

Favorite film?
I love, love, love Hugo.

Who would you most like to meet? Time travel is allowed.
I would love to meet my great grandmother. Outside of my family, probably Princess Diana.

What was your first job?
I flipped shoes at Payless – I made sure the right and left shoe were placed correctly in the shoe boxes.

What absolutely, positively terrifies you?
Does Microsoft Excel count?
